We took the tour to the Herzogenbusch concentration camp today, and our guide, Leonie, accompanied us throughout the day! It's a very interesting tour and the visit is thought-provoking... Highly recommended!

Dutch Tours is a great tour operator, as the local guides can answer many questions. After our tour of the castle, we spontaneously visited the tulip fields, which were in full bloom! Simply wonderful!

My wife and I went on a tour of Texel Island with Dutch Tours. Eva was our guide, and she was incredibly sweet, informative, and accommodating. Her expertise and deep understanding of Texel Island was a joy to listen to as we drove from one attraction to another. She gave us a memorable experience outside the city and showed us a completely different side of the Netherlands. Honestly, it was amazing and a great change of scenery from Amsterdam. It took about an hour to reach the island, and the scenery is breathtaking and absolutely beautiful. I recommend visiting with these people; they understand us (people from the Gulf) and are very respectful. The weather is cold, so don't forget to bring warm jackets!

We spent Tuesday on a wonderful island tour of Texel, offered by Dutch Tours. The idea of spending time outdoors in nature really appealed to us, which is why we booked this tour. On this excursion, it was just the two of us plus a guide, which made the whole experience very personal. Leonie, who accompanied us throughout the day, was incredibly kind, and we clicked immediately. 🙂 She was very attentive to our needs and highly competent. Drinks and delicious snacks were provided the entire time. The day was wonderfully varied. After a short ferry ride, we started by strolling around Den Burg, where we could also stop for a coffee in one of the small cafes. Afterward, we continued on to hike along the Wadden Sea and observed wild birds with binoculars. Breathing in the peace and quiet and the fresh North Sea air was truly balm for the soul. ... A truly wonderful highlight and the perfect end to the tour was the boat trip out to the dunes, where we could watch the adorable seals. 🦭❤️ It was one of the best tours we've taken from Amsterdam so far. We can wholeheartedly recommend it and would book another tour with Dutch Tours anytime. 🙂

I went on a half day seal tour and it was wonderful experience. We saw harbour seals and grey seal relatively close. It was a nice boat ride and definitely worth it. I highly recommend it!

We really enjoyed the day with Eva. The pickup spot for the tour was in a great, easy to find, uncongested area. Eva greeted us and the other couple on the tour with a smile and welcome when she arrived. The van was very comfortable and a great ride. We never felt uncomfortable during entire ride to the camp and back from. Eva was a wonderful hostess and during the ride out to the camp, told us family stories of her grandparents and father having to hide. Her stories were nicely paced and just amazing. We are also grateful that her grandparents and father survived so she could be here to tell us the stories. When we arrived at the camp, which is now mostly a Dutch military base or part of a prison, she was still a gracious hostess. She made sure we understood what type of camp it was, concentration (work camp) as opposed to an extermination which were largely in Poland. She helped us to fully understand what happened there and made sure our expectations were correct for what it was. Eva was patient with us, told us to take all the time we needed and ask her if we had any questions. We fist visited the museum, which was intense even for someone who is a history buff like one of us is. It was intense for both of us. It has a wonderful historical presentation but be prepared, I'm going to say it was intense one more time here. When we were done at the museum, Eva took us out to the barracks buildings and the Children's Memorial. This is really, something else-I don't know how else to describe it. There are 1200 children's names on this memorial, children who were sent away from this camp straight to Auschwitz. None survived. Eva then walked us through the barracks buildings and into the crematorium. Yes, this camp had one, they all did, but that is because, while people died here, it wasn't industrial scale murder but people were still cremated when they died. She explained to us how many people were in one room, their living conditions, including

Leonie was our guide for our tour to Kasteel De Haar and we had such a great time! The team was very accommodating and made changes to make the experience better for us. Additionally, they provided us with a “cheat sheet” with tips and recommendations for Amsterdam. We had one of our best meals there based on their sheet/guide! Overall, we highly recommend Dutch Tours if you’re looking to book one of their tours! :)

Eva was an absolutely amazing host for the day. Our tour of the park and the private Van Gogh collection at the park was educational and relaxing for us and even for our 13 year old daughter. It truly felt more like a day out with a good friend that happens to be an expert in the outskirts of Amsterdam. I would highly recommend this small tour company for anyone interested in having an authentic fun and educational Dutch experience in the Netherlands. The Brechtels Atlanta, Georgia, USA
